Senior Management Team
The Senior Management Team consists of the Rector, David Tierney, and three Depute Rectors, Ed Picksley, Ian Morrison and Ella Grant, currently on secondment with John Morrison taking on the role during this. Each Depute shares equal seniority and, as a team, will deputise for the Rector in his absence. As well as providing leadership, the purposes of the SMT is to co-ordinate the management and development of the school in accord with its values, purposes and improvement plans, as well as the policies of the Education Authority. The SMT shares management and leadership responsibilities with many staff, both teaching and support.
Members of the SMT work as a co-ordinated team, within particular individual areas of responsibility which encompass key functions of the school as an organisation. Each Depute is directly accountable to the Rector. Work is co-ordinated, in part, through regular team meetings. Agendas include standing items such as a guidance report on matters concerning individual pupils and managing positive behaviour.
